Among Byron Buchanan’s notable commissions is The Creative Ones, a collection of more than forty large-scale mixed-media portraits commissioned by Sean Cummings for International House in New Orleans. Celebrating artists, musicians, innovators, and cultural figures, the collection is presented through rotating installations at the hotel.

Buchanan’s work is shown by Santa Fe Trails Fine Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Idaho Art Gallery, with locations in Boise and Meridian. These galleries feature selections of his Western portraiture, drawings, paintings, and mixed-media work.
